Apparently I am completely incapable of doing chores without this thread now.. I have done sweet FA since the 25th. I had eaten out and takeaway so only now have just enough dishes to pack and run the dishwasher again. I dumped Xanders litter on the fruit trees but Anyas can go another day or two. The next litter delivery is delayed so I want to stretch it as long as I can. They are loaded with hay anyway. I have to clean my toilet and vacuum, then mop the house. Do a couple loads of rabbit rug washing, then rinse the washing machine and do my own washing. Scrub the shower, tidy the bathroom, wash the towels. I have a heck of a lot of gardening to do too but had a pretty bad pain attack so taking it easy and while its raining I have that luxury.

I haven't done anything either, I really should write a list.

Okay tomorrow I need to put the rubbish out, as well as the recycling.
Washing up, get at least half of it done.
Have a general tidy up, might be getting a table and chairs tomorrow afternoon so need to clean up in case I do.

Yeah I'm not making a whole lot of progress here haha. Might need a kick up the bum, or a beer to get started. The air track is just deflated enough to try a forward roll on now... lol. Cant even be assed going to the pub probably.

So a little list, maybe make it achievable for a sunday night.

Wash last bunny rugs, bring dry rugs in.
Cook dinner, use the leftover kfc!
Clean the bedroom
Put the bins on the curb (Dont get distracted by the stars and step on a snake or something stupid like that)

After work today I need to get the other half of the washing up done.
Change the bedding
Cook! I've been awful at not cooking meals lately so need to get cooking again.

I think I will do the washing tomorrow, cos it should dry quick! Sheets and towels will be done in no time. I handwashed some crochet today, so they are taking up the patio line space. I must finish those pillows before I go shopping next, so I can drop them off to my friend on the way through.

I have been focusing on stretching and bible study stuff today. Waaay over did it in the garden the last couple days, and I will have to regain enough balance to water it tomorrow morning. Still got tuna patties for dinner, dishwasher is done. Amazing I got it all done without this list hah. This year is off to a slow start for me lol.

I've set myself up really well for this heatwave. Garden has been watered nice and early, covered in mulch. Today was easier than yesterday. Yesterday I just got hammered with UV as soon as the sun peeped up over the pub. It was about 43C with 8% humidity yesterday, where as today the clouds seem to be sticking around and the humidity is up. It'll be a much easier day for me and the garden if the clouds dont melt away. I've already put the air con on in an attempt to make the house my own little cool cave. Total fire and vehicle movement bans everywhere so I doubt there will be much action around town.

So, TO DO - some washing today, really on the last of my undies now. The issue is I dont want to have clothes hanging out on days that spiders want nice cool places to hide. The bite on the butt is not fun and I don't want to risk it again!

The dishwasher is packed so I will run that soon. Got a friend coming over for a little bit and need a clean tea cup!

Already done the bunnies litter boxes. Should wipe over the place to try and get some dust out. The hemp bedding does seem less dusty than the pine. My main concern is that its such tiny particles, the buns could easily ingest them while digging around for hay. I should vacuum but I doubt I will do that today as I don't want to make a migraine since its too hot to lay down in the bedroom.

Other than that, more crochet and lectures on youtube.

I need a "have done" list today. Actually looking for things to do! (But not things that involve vacuuming).

Demolished a tyre on my car in town the other day, got cut off and hit a roundabout. Limped it up to the tyre shop and got 4 brand new tyres. So shiny and new! And then promptly ran over a snake with them on the drive home  I have never had new tyres on a car before, so it inspired me to do a bit of work on the old beast, so not to shame the fancy tyres. I washed it, sanded all the rust spots back and treated them yesterday, then painted today. Looks better than I expected it to! Still got a bit of work to do on the bonnet but its windy out there and I didn't want to get spray paint on the windshield (which also needs replacing soon, damn trucks and their gravel throwing!)

Watered the yard, chopped a bunch of branches for fire wood, dug out an old garden bed and filled a bunch of pots so I could start some seeds near the hose tap. Picked a zucchini and some parsley tossed it in with bacon for lunch, waay better than I expect it to be! All the dishes are washed, all the washing is done, drying on the line. Benches and bathrooms are clean. Bed is made, dusting done. Trying to crochet a new mat for the toilet floor but keep restarting cos I decide I dont like it once it is done (twice now).

I think I need something better on tv so that I sit down for a while, and not run myself into the ground when I still have bible study to do on zoom tonight.

3 down, 3 to go, of course the washing up is still one of the ones to do!

Its already too hot to play outside, but I got quite a bit of work done. More than I expected to do for a monday. The last thing I did was to secure the tin for the new garden bed and piled some rocks around the edge to look pretty. Then dragged the hose around the back, got it caught on the rocks, and demolished the lot  I gave up after that. So there is more piling of rocks in my future.

Dishwahsher is on. Gotta rinse the washing machine before my next clothes load. Benches need scrubbing. Got some scraps to bury in the garden. I bet the bananas will be dead by the end of the day, so thinking of what to do with them.

Vacuuming needs doing as usual but I really really doubt I have the steam to get that done today. I want to do some of the strengthening stretches cos I can feel a migraine brewing from too much heavy lifting today.

One of these days, I'll learn to vacuum after cleaning the bunnies corner... so vacuuming was done, but now its back on the list to do again.

Kitchen is absolutely spotless. I should get loads of takeaway food more often, certainly makes the clean up easier!

I GOT GRAPES!!! First year I managed to salvage some for myself. And now I have too many grapes... I took a basket over to my neighbour and have been sorting though the rest to put in the fridge. It was a challenge to pick them. Had to fight off a swarm of drunk bees and ants. Drunk bees are hilarious. They were full munging into the grapes. I should have picked them a little earlier but its my first crop so I am still learning. So far the ducks have got more than I have, but I still have at least 2 kilos in the fridge and another 2 kilos to process. I might see if I can drop some off to a friend tomorrow if I dont get through any more tonight. They are so flavoursome, like little juice bombs in ya mouth. I bet there are more on the vine I couldnt get to, but after a few bites and stings I decided I had enough for today. I will probably make a grape pie with the excess.

So now I have to clean the kitchen floor AGAIN. I am a quarter way through a new garden edging so need to toss Xanders litter into that bed once the sun goes down enough that I dont get burnt. And I'll do a quick water of the garden since the clouds were useless at rain.

Mum wants to come down and visit in March, so I'll be sorting and cleaning until then! The house is pretty reasonable, I had started in the shed but if I use too much energy there, I will get behind in the house and garden work, so I will put the shed on pause for now.

The spare room is looking fabulous. I've taken the cardboard boxes out and they are now in the kitchen. I got some plastic boxes to sort my craft and paperwork and study stuff into but havent started on that yet.. I know thats a thing I start and never tend to finish. Maybe a Twilight marathon will help with that :D If I have something easy on tv and sit my butt down I can get that sorting done with less pain.

Also, I'll have another go at fixing the toilet. Its not flooded for a while cos I stuck a bunch of loo roll under the leak but that needs to be cleaned out and I'll put some more sealer around the pipe next time the weather warms up.

Its been GLORIOUSLY raining :D So the ground was soft enough to get some fencing done this arvo. Need a bit of tweeking and tensioning but the bulk is done and if the ducks are super dumb it would keep them in at this stage. But I'd rather not give them the chance to test it, although with the rain it would be a good time for them to switch paddocks so I can seed and rest their summer sandpit.

Garden is so happy and I am trying a bunch of cuttings all over the place while the ground is soggy, they rarely work but I keep trying :p

Kitchen is a mess and I got takeaway so have the energy to clean it up if I remember to do it. Twilight marathon did NOT help with receipt/bill/study sorting and I started making another crochet dress instead... Dishwasher is done, needs unpacking its just tidying stuff like putting things away and wiping benches.

Gotta wash the bunnies rugs, some are clean on the line outside but nothing will dry in this weather.

Want to mop the bathroom, I started srcubbing the shower last night, still havent done the sealer bit I want to do. It just slips my mind!

*ALERT* Annoyed ranting ahead.

The toilet leaked all over the floor again :( Its really starting to wear me down. All these little things going wrong are adding up and Im struggling. Trying to find a plumber (rurally) who wont rip you off or rob you is a hard task. Meth is so rampant I just don't trust any random man to come into my house. The laundry flooded again too because we had unexpected rain and I didnt have the drip buckets out until it stopped. The spare room needs some gaps filled in the floor as I am certain thats where the mice are getting in since I cleared all that space out. The spare mattress and blow up bed got condensation on it and is now growing mould.

I'm also worrying about my gas for hot water, the general store doesnt sell the big bottles any more and I dont have a ute so I have no idea how to get gas. When I first moved here I didnt know the general store sold gas at that time so I had checked out every shop within a 100 kilometres as to if they deliver bottles and none did. I was so relieved when I found out the store did it, but with the change of owners, they no longer do. So I am stuck again and only having a shower ever 2-3 days in order to save the gas. Its affecting my mental health to fall out of the 'shower before bed' pattern and my sleep schedule is super messed up again. I think the missionaries come out next week so I might ask but they have really done so much for me already, as have the neighbours, so I'm worried about when it gets to the stage of "we've helped you enough" as it ALWAYS does. I have money, thanks to the covid payments, thats not the issue, accessibility is.

The house is a pigsty, the last bale of rabbit hay had some sort of pelleted food all through it, so I have had to sift it out and that makes a horrible mess both in the bunnies room and out on the back patio. I have some invasive grass I have to control since that rain and I think my only option is poison since I just physically cant tackle it at this time. I heard the neighbours kids yelling about rabbit holes in their yard so I have to check my boundary fencing asap as I have worked so hard to get herbs growing in the ground and a single wild rabbit could demolish that in a day or two. I have been good about doing my stretches and conditioning exercises daily but they leave me absolutely exhausted, with the bar fridge on the fritz I don't have many healthy options for food and the weight is on the way up again. I need a new fridge/freezer asap but nothing delivers to my region. Again, I have the money, just not the ability. I thought I could get a trailer and do the gas and fridge and maybe a new mattress and fruit tree in one city trip, but Im kidding myself. I can barely manage walking to the post office lately so heavy lifting and going to multiple shops in one day is an outrageous expectation.

The most urgent things I need to do are -
Book the car in for a service. I am thinking I might go to the city next week and walk in to book as I have had a week and a half to book online and havent managed to do it.
Try to block the current toilet leak and scrub all that out again. Crochet a washable floor mat in the hope that soaks up future leaks and makes it less hard to scrub up after.
Vacuum the hay and order new vac bags and filter
Order new rabbit litter and get better hay. refill their pellets and sort their storage area so mice dont get attracted.

Those are the big ones. And I bet I will do a bunch of little jobs before I end up doing the jobs I really need to do. Some days I miss the dexamphetamine prescription lol.

You bumped this right in time for my pre-mum madness! Everything is trickling along well right now. Winter is such a relief. Although now the fireplace is broken lol.

So for this weekend -
make some crochet feet for the pull out tables so they dont scratch the wood floors.
Tidy the wardrobe
Clean the spare room (I havent sealed those gaps yet, but the gun is all ready to go since I did my bedroom just the other week)
Mulch the fruit trees and trim the front hedges
Top up the ducks bedding
Save the succulents in the yard from root rot
Screw the feet on the chaise bit of the couch
Move the air track to the new storage spot
Clean the loo
Clean the laundry
Organise the pantry

I actually like this thread a lot, cos looking back I have done pretty much everything I put on the list!!
