Who's your favorite character and why?

Dean. Its the big brother vibes for me.
I love his struggle to do what is right, he doesn't pretend to see the whole picture, but he can see his part and is always up to the challenge of it. He doesnt hide the flaws nor the way he copes with them, but does try to hide his weakness and put on a brave face. He is strong, brave and funny. Defo the protector.
Also, he's the hottest.

That's really hard for me! I've given it some serious thought. I used to think it was Sam, but in reality, after all that's said and done I think it's Dean too. I love how you describe him. So true!
I just love Dean. He's such an interesting, complex character.
I've been SO frustrated with him at times (or more so frustrated with the writers for having him do and say things that I felt were WAY out of character) but I think one of the reasons I love Dean so much is how similar I believe he is to Buffy, my all time favorite character.
LOL! Actually, I think Sam is better looking, but Dean is certainly hot as well!

I totally agree. I think its why I flowed on to SPN so easily from Buffy. Both strong main characters with the weight of the world on their shoulders. They try to keep life light, but we can see the pressure they are under and the true strength they show in (attempts of) protecting those they love. Even if they dont alway make the best or right choices, they have in their own mind which is the role they play in the world. So i can see why often times other characters (or fans) get annoyed with their stubbornness of doing it their way.
For side characters, I really like Kevin, until his sad demise. He just made me laugh. And then made me cry.

Of the brothers, Dean. Jenson just seems to have a better range than Mister Frowny Face, especially in the lighter episodes, when you compare his more normal manner to his screaming like a little boy at a cat to trying to blow away a pigeon.
Of the major recurring characters, Castiel. Although it is too early to tell if I think is genre knowledge has improved him or not.
Of the minor recurring characters, Charlie. Smart, cute, geeky, gay redhead. What's not to love? Especially if you have a bit of a thing for smart redheads...
