Lots of tv time this week, best of the lot - Oddball. I didn't know Alan Tudyk was in this! Super cute, highly recommend as a kids flick. I was offered a maremma puppy for free just after I moved here, Im glad I didnt take it, no way I could keep up! Though if I did ever go for a dog, it would probably make the list of breeds for me. Anyway, always nice to see a dog movie where the dog doesnt die. Aussie films arnt flash, but it was sweet.

Beneath Clouds - low budget aussie movie, I liked it. Two teens trying to escape rural life by hitchhiking to Sydney. Realistic and raw.

Bridgerton - colourful costumes and pretty sets but otherwise bland. I swear I have read a twific like this before, duke edward who doesnt want to share his seed sounds so familiar. Original content is near on non existent now days, and I dont mind as long as its entertaining enough. I wouldnt have guessed who gossip girl was, but it made sense looking back.

Now on - Fate - the winx saga. Harry potter with fairies? Im only up to ep 2, but I'll watch the lot probably this weekend. Magic college kids learning skills to fight the evil burnt things that live in the magic forest. Looks tame enough for me, pretty people, pretty sets, flashy fantasy, my sort of style.

The Order. Went into this blind, not expecting much, but its entertaining enough. I thought it might be a bit scary for me but the scariest bit is the masks and the rest is lightly humorous. Onward to s2.

Superstore - too funny. Just dumb enough to make me laugh a lot. Will get tired after a few seasons but short and light episodes and actors who actually act the age they are on screen! I get a bit sick of seeing actors my age playing teenagers.

Yolngu Boy, rewatch, it was one of the texts we did in highschool, was surprised to see it on netflix, but seems there are a whole heap of old aussies shows and movies up lately. Good one to see the impact of society and the freedom outside of it, but no matter where you are, rules apply.

The Secret Life of Us- another old aussie show, and I still hate everyone on it, as I did when it was airing haaa. Watch a few eps here and there when tenplay autoplays it but its pretty crap and makes me thankful my 20's are over. Fun to see a few faces that I forgot was on it.

Bronze - bit similar to I, Tonya but (hopefully) not based on a true story. Predictable, entertaining enough. Stupid and dumb funny.

Animal Kingdom S5 E1 - I thought this was finished at s4 for good, but seems there is another season. I am not sure how it will go from here but the boys are oddly endearing and I will keep watching.

Move to Heaven - interesting concept for a show, nothing thrilling or mindblowing, just sorta nice and easy to watch.

Brining up Bates season 8 I will never ever ever ever be made to feel guilty for using straws, paper plates or plastic bags as bin liners ever ever again. hahahaha. The environmental impact I DONT have thanks to not breeding is huge. So I am going to cut myself a whole lot of slack for still being upset and struggling without plastic bin bags and straws. Watching them grow their own cult is cute though and they certainly got some bits about enjoying life right.

Waiting for the MasterChef AU finale. Real fun season with some cool characters. The new judges are just a delight. I am not sure I will commit to the next season though as it is loooong and drags on. The grandfinale was supposed to be last night but they made it over two days and might have lost me for next season due to the length of it.

Lucifer s6. I thought the last season was the last one. Now there is more. Oh well, I am trying to spread out my spn watch a bit so it works out for me.

Just started Lucifer S6 as well.
Knew there would be a season 6 but I'm surprised that it is already here.

Otherwise I've been watching some Doctor Who.
I'm about to finish season 2 (the first season with David Tennant)

Is it your first Doctor Who watch? I dropped off around the Matt years, picked up at Jodie but wasn't compelled to hunt for the episodes at that stage. I will watch it all eventually, Im sure!

Lucifer has a whole lot of screenshotty goodness! So many fan-art-able scenes so far lol. I'll probably finish it tomorrow. Fun series.

Not counting some vague memory of watching something with Tom Baker and his scarf on Swedish TV back in the 80's or whenever it was. lol

Think it's kinda fun... but not better than I end up using it mostly as background TV.

Lucifer is great fun though. One of my favorites lately.

Wildfire - a horsey show with Genevieve Padalecki (man, what a mouthful of a name!) Shes got that Katie Holmes grumpy brunette look. I do not know WHY they needed a shot of her pulling her pants up in the opening credits? Why do that? Its not that bad a show though, very much of the time. I wish I had seen it then. One of those "life lessons" shows, I could have learned the lesson about not having three jobs while doing trackwork or you'll burn out and fall off ha. Still not really true to horse life, but not as fairy floss sickly sweet like Heartland. Wildfire keeps looking at the cameras, its adorable.

Probably finish it tonight though,but it's just the light type of show I needed.

Will get back to the supernatural rewatch soon, but needed something lighter for a while.

Cuckoo - this got much better once Taylor Lautner joined the cast for extremely random reasons. It certainly lives up to its name.

Now - Survivor41 WOOOOOOOOOOOO. Its a bit scary though, with them all talking about covid, since covid has only just started here. If only we kept the borders shut a little longer, it could have evolved into a less deadly strain before it was let rip. Oh well, I will enjoy this season as much as I can cos if I get covid, Im a goner. Now to make some rice for dinner since this show gets me in the mood for it LOL.

Dance Moms. I have seen random eps before, but let it run in the background from s1 onwards this weekend. Talented kids are so endearing. Some of the mothers are awful. Abby Lee Miller is certainly not the dragon shes been made out to be. I really miss having coaches who would correct with passion, its just so hard to find now days. A big reason I stopped taking riding lessons is cos coaches stopped correcting and ended up just being an expensive audience. What a bore.

Might watch Rookie if I can find it later this week. Only seen season 1 but my mum just finished s3 so it must be on free to air somewhere.

Going to finish SPN season 11 this week too Next time I go shopping, I will get a finale feast.

Alone - the survival series for $500,000. Its a bit like Blair Witch but with wolves and bears. Just finished Season 1 and loved it! Worthy winner. Like, aussie bushland can be harsh, but we don't have bears. Great effort from the people giving it a go out there. I wouldnt! Heck, I wouldnt even camp in my garden with all of the creepy crawlies that I run into! At a camp once we had to do a few hours alone in the bush after dark for a girl guide badge, but it was after dinner and we got marshmellows by midnight. But yeah, bears, that's just a new kettle of fish.

Still watching Alone, up to season 5. Now they have snakes AND bears. Plus wolves and boars, in Mongolia. I am not a traveller, but Mongolia would be hard to pass up if I ever got that travel chance. Not all alone out there obvs, but it looks like a cool place, with a hectic horse race.

This is one of those shows I wish I could watch for the first time again. I love it!!

Doing another rewatch of Project Runway from the start - I'll have one or two new unseen seasons once I get through the familiar ones, but it's such a fun show to have on in the background while I get other stuff done, like finishing my dad's present (I'm crocheting again!) for Sunday's birthday party.

On to season 7 of Alone. I didnt like season 6 much at all, but season 7 is a bit better than that. This is the last season on sbs to watch. I really like reading the after interviews, they are so relatable, in like, "the world kept going while I was barely surviving" and how trivial everything seems in going back to society. It sounds like they have a better refeeding program than most hospitals do for ED patients! Some of these guys are coming out really damaged, so s5 was quite cool to see how no one was willing to take themself to that limit ever again. I think I learned a lot from that.

Squid Game - I dont get the hype, a bit like the 3%. Just another commentary on society/value/human worth with nothing new to share. Predictable in the end. Passed the time while it was raining.

Maid - up to ep 3. As boring watching it as it would be living it. Nothing insightful yet, but my laptop is playing up terribly and if I stop it now I wont get anything else to play before bed. So it'll stay on. Acting etc not terrible but just a boring story, boring characters, boring so far.

Survivor US/41 - Not loving it and it makes me so sad because I LOVE SURVIVOR! The new stuff is more annoying than anything else. I hope the AU version never loses its cheekiness. Worst cast so far, I hope tenplay puts up some more of the old seasons so I can watch them instead. I will probably watch the rest of 41 cos I am already on the tweeter fan wagon, but I am sad that its turned into more of a hate watch.

Celebrity Masterchef AU - I'll stick with this season. Familiar faces, wayyyy less complicated dishes and recipes and not nearly as long as last season.

The Dog House Australia - I bawled the entire time. I duno how they have so many "spare" tiny dogs on the east coast I've been looking on pet rescue for a tiny dog for 4 years now. I cant even get a rescue to reply to my application, let alone a meet up in a fantasy garden! Im happy the dogs got good homes, but sad that there are no dogs for me. I know from extensive experience now that when an ad on gumtree says "good home" they really mean "best offer over $3000".

The Secret River - aussie miniseries. I saw the first episode when it aired, so I am glad to find the lot on netflix so I can finish it. I wish the actors didnt have to do the dodgy accents, but I always like stories set in this time and they do find nice natural places to film.

Locke and Key - I dont mind this magic show, the keys are a cool idea but I feel like it could take a few seasons to really hit its stride, and netflix is terrible at keeping shows going for a few seasons. I said to @Death that they should have taken the swearing out and rated it PG as its a kids show with dark magic, a bit like Doctor Who and on a similar level of viewing fun as Lost in Space. I cant say that I remember any of the characters names or intricate details but its good enough to crochet in front of.

Parental Guidance - Just a reality show judging parent styles. Totally rigged and not nearly as snarky as I had hoped. Really makes me extra glad not to be a breeder cos the kids are annoying but having the rigged group in a house together is definitely going to be chaos - gay parents up against christian, free range up against tiger. You cannot tell me that was not rigged for ratings!
