Since Michaels vessel was related to Dean, was Lucifers vessel somehow related to Sam?

Nick wasn't Lucifer's proper vessel so I doubt it.

Adam wasnt Michaels proper vessel either but they said something about the bloodline coming from Cain and Abel. So maybe Nick is a long distant cousin?

Possibly, I guess I just figured Adam was chosen as Sam's brother, whereas Nick was chosen as he said yes.
