Supernatural: Get a first look at Rick Springfield's Lucifer in new season 12 promo

The Road So Far: Sam has been shot and captured by the British Men of Letters Lucifer has found a new vessel in rock star Rick Springfield; Dean has been reunited with his formerly dead mother.

Now: Dean, Castiel, and Mary team up to save Sam while Crowley does his best to regain control of Hell. But from the looks of the first promo for Supernatural season 12, above, Lucifer isn’t going to just give Crowley back his throne. Here’s to hoping they have a sing-off to determine a winner.

Supernatural returns Thursday, Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. on The CW.

I'm looking forward to seeing it, but I do think that Sam Smith is too old for Mary now. Mary died over 30 years ago and wasn't old then so I'm just not sure about that.
