Much better outing and I am
so relieved - this episode was back to true form. I was smiling, laughing, nearly gasping, I was just fine throughout, no complaints here.
I already knew that both Rowena and Ketch would be back - yay for both! - so I'm thrilled that Kevin was a surprise. I'd heard theories that, now that we knew God was evil and had rigged the 'game', that he'd sent Kevin to Hell instead of Heaven; the theorists were right! Good to see Osric again, maybe he'll return to his mom now.
I'm not really into the Rowena/Ketch thing, but it's fun so far. Rowena/Chuck and Rowena/Gabriel were way funnier and oddly fitting, despite the history she shares with Arthur.
Belphegor continues to possess Jack and we've yet to check in on what the real Jack, Billie and the Empty are up to, but I'm sure that's coming within the next few episodes. Alex is still doing a great job playing this new character and we got a slight bit more background for the demon, also.
I like the look at the townspeople conspiring to figure out what's going on; they would be the few protagonists if this were a horror/slasher film, which I find hilarious in a weird way.
Castiel finally forcing Dean to talk to him was a great scene and we learned for sure what it is Mr. Winchester is feeling about all of this since he always tries to stay strong for Sam and doesn't tell him the whole truth.
But the very best scene of them all was the last one. Amara being back was already pretty awesome (I pathetically didn't recognize her until she rose up from the massage table) but the realization that she and Chuck had switched roles was amazing. Her final speech in that last scene almost gave me chills, it was so well-written and acted. My favorite scene of the season, so far.
Rating - 7.7/10 Not perfect but miles better than the premiere last week
