Sebastian Roche to Star in Man in the High Castle

Sebastian Roche (The Originals, General Hospital) has been cast in a recurring role on the second season of Amazon’s original drama seriesThe Man in the High Castle. Based on Philip K. Dick’s alt-history novel, the series depicts a divided and drab 1962 America in which the Nazis rule the East and Midwest and Imperial Japan reigns over the Western states, with a neutral zone between them. Roche will play reichminister Martin Hausmann, a wealthy, high-ranking Nazi official based in Berlin. He is the biological but estranged father of Joe (Luke Kleintank) and is sincere in his desire to reconnect with his son but would not blink twice about the extermination of the enemies of the Reich. Roche plays Cardinal Michel Marivaux on HBO’s Young Pope. He’s repped by Framework Entertainment, Abrams Artists Agency and Performers Management.

Is it just me, or does he seem far more sane playing insane characters on tv than in person?

I do love watching him, I thought he was great in the originals. Much of what I have access to is restricted, but I'll keep an eye out.

I've seen a few trailers for this show, but it's not one that interests me to watch, I hope that it does show him as an actor though and the different roles he can do.

The show also stars Alexa Davalos, who was Gwen Raiden in BtVS. At least, she was in the first season, which is why I was gonna try and watch it. But, I feel the same, it's not my kind of show, so I didn't even try, lol.

Well, it IS my kinda show! That being said, I didn't last through the pilot. I might try later but nothing about it grabbed me.

I think I watched the pilot, and then never made it further. I did read the book though lol
