Osric Chau has started up a new t shirt and a random acts of kindness challenge.

Welcome to the start of my "On the Hunt" shirt campaign with Creation Stands with proceeds benefiting Random Acts’ Dreams 2 Acts Nicaragua!
This also marks the official launch for the "On the Hunt" game for kindness! You can choose to purchase a shirt, but if not, I still invite you to play the game with us!
Since the campaign is benefiting Random Acts, the goal of the game is to collect acts of kindness.

You’ll need to choose a team: ‪#‎SPNred‬, ‪#‎SPNblue‬, or ‪#‎SPNyellow‬. By joining a team, you’re pledging to perform an act of kindness. Big or small, complicated or simple; all acts of kindness are welcome. Once your act is complete, show me on social media. Make sure you use your team’s hashtag and also tag ‪#‎OnTheHunt‬! The game will last for the run of the shirt campaign—two weeks, ending on September 5th. The team that performs the most acts of kindness by the end of the game wins!

Each team will also have team leaders and they will reveal themselves to you throughout the campaign to cheer you all on :)

Oh, and as a little added incentive, I will dye my hair either red, blue, or yellow, depending on whichever team wins ;)
Consider that your trophy until I grow it out or have to dye it back to black for work!

Anyway, I hope you will all play along with me over the next few weeks. Together, we're going to change the world, one act of kindness at a time :)

I've joined Team Yellow

Osric is really into Random Acts, I know he went on the trip to Nicaragua with them as well.

I'm really enjoying this challenge, I don't really have any money to spare, so it's making me look at what things I can do for free or really cheaply. I've found loads of charities that you can just click on a button on their page in order to donate.

Cool! What kind of charities have you gone for?

When I used to be on fundraising committees I would spend hours doing surveys and grants, but I havent done them for years and I'll bet it is much much much easier with a faster/better internet connection LOL.

I guess at the moment I am very burnt out.

This is a great idea to get people more involved. I really hope some continue on with charity work in some capacity. I think once people start, they figure out its not all that hard to help in a small way, and if only 9% of those involved put in 3 months work at a charity, it will make a difference. let alone the few that will catch the bug for life.

It is really very cool how SPN actors are using their status for awareness and charity. I know they are not the first by any means, but the era of social media has so many directions in which things can go - this has been largely positive, as have the rest from what I have seen.

There's this Click to Donate FREE! Make free donations to 70 Charities. Nonprofit & volunteer links! which has a bunch of simple click to give charities on them, it's not much I know but it's free and in theory it helps.

I do want to become more involved in charity this year, now that we no longer do Job Club I have more free time and am at a bit of a loss of way to go. I don't want to just help out in a charity shop even though they are always asking for people, as I feel that the shops, or at least the ones here, don't really help the charities.
