I think it's poor of the show that they dropped Adam

Apparently there's something to do with Adam which happens in season 15 but I'm still on 14 and I just think it's really poor writing that Adam is so inconsequential and isn't really mentioned much at all considering he's a half brother to the Winchesters. I forgot Adam even existed until recently. It kind of seems like Adam's intended role was going to be sort of similar to Jack's but it was too soon so they just dumped him.

He was mentioned in Fan Fiction, was that in season 10?

But you really need to watch season 15.

I didn't really care too much about the character. Just seemed like an easy way to get Dean out of being locked in the cage. A sacrificial lamb. He wasn't brought up as a hunter, and would have likely been killed or added to the heartache had he stuck around too close to the brothers. There wasn't really room for his story as well as theirs.

I agree there wasn't much thought put in to him passed him being a Michael vessel, but he is not a loose end. It's so great they can get so many of the original actors back, some shows probably wouldn't be able to pull that off, especially over 15 years. The actor has been in other work too.

Was it supposed to be bigger? The first episode we meet Adam he is already dead and the only reason he is brought back is to be a vessel for Michael.

I suppose that was when he could’ve become a proper character but I never felt the potential was there with Adam. I don’t dislike him, but he is a stranger to the Winchesters, while someone like Jack is raised by them and naturally creates a familiar dynamic.

I’m just not sure how they could have made Adam work as a recurring character
