Supernatural's meta episodes broke the fourth wall like no other and became a beloved part of the fandom.

In "The Long Road Home" special, creator Eric Kripke states that several meta episodes, especially "The French Mistake," are his favorites, and it's not surprising why these episodes truly shine as they directly engage with the fandom.

They were a heap of fun, and I really liked some of them, but wouldn't pick them as my only favorites.

I think some of them really stand out, so I would agree that they’re definitely top material. But not so sure they’re the best. I bet they were a lot of fun for cast abd crew to make though, which shines through when you watch them.

Personally I am excluding The French Mistake though which I thought was the worst of the series until the Wayward Girls came along.
