Where Was It?

I'm talking about the Amulet, obviously. So, where do you think it's been all this time? The last time we saw it, Dean threw it in the trash can.

Did Sam lift it out? Has he been carrying it around in his pocket this whole time and Chuck just borrowed it for a few minutes to activate it?

Or did God himself rescue it and he planted it in Sam's pocket so that the boys would understand what they were seeing when they spotted Chuck in the street?

Personally, I think it's the second option, but the fandom (and, it seems, Jensen) are pretty set on it being the first, from what I've seen so far, which is surprising.

Jensen said he wasn't surprised that Sam had it, but that Dean would be.

I'm not so sure I figured if Sam did have it then he would have kept it in that box and not in his pocket

Wow I never thought Sam had it all along. I figured God did.

Sam cant keep a shoe, how could he keep an amulet in his pocket for years?

I agree - I'm 100% okay with Sam having kept it this whole time, it's something that I really think Sam would do. But I just don't think he would have kept it in his pocket for 6 years. Look what they've been through in all that time! Sam went to Hell - TWICE! - he's died, more than once, faced off against everything imaginable. There's no way in all that time he didn't some how manage to lose his jacket or tear it or something. There was a huge risk in keeping it right in his pocket.

My feeling is that Sam had it stashed away, but God took it that day and put it in his pocket.
